ABOUT US

 

CasteWatchUK is an independent and voluntary organisation. Its membership is drawn from all community groups and is rapidly growing through the increasingly high profile that CasteWatchUK's initiatives are securing. Its a non-denominational, non-sectarian and secular organisation.

Our main aims are to raise awareness of Caste discrimination in the United Kingdom and to strive for appropriate legal, social and democratic remedies.

It has a properly constituted and agreed constitution and is seeking registration with the Charity Commission.

The Deputy Lord Mayor for Coventry, Councillor Ram Prakash Lakha, performing the Official Launch of CasteWatchUK, during which he also celebrated the online launch of this web site Davinder Prasad, General Secretary of CasteWatchUK, gave his address in the afternoon, during which he summarised the key points made by the speakers and also mentioned the article published in the New Humanist magazine, submitted by Ken Hunt, CasteWatchUK.

PURPOSE OF CasteWatchUK

The purpose of CasteWatchUK action team is to promote an environment that respects and values individuals in society.

CasteWatchUK is an independent, voluntary organisation with the following aims and objects:-

(1) To monitor caste discrimination practices or policies, which result in and perpetuate caste prejudice in the UK.

(2) To raise awareness of Caste discrimination occurring in the UK and work for legal, social and demoratic remedies.

(3) To plan strategies and help similar organisations to remove Caste discrimination, firstly within
the UK and then elsewhere thereafter.

(4) To provide moral relief through education to those who are victims of Casteism.
