Only
education cannot eradicate illiteracy. Religious education is also must
for us. Like in Sikhs charitable schools they gave to their children not
only education but also religious teaching. Do not say that the fees are
not that much that they cannot manage. But the reason is this that our
peoples are not willing to go to schools as indulge in bad companies,
roaming there & there before gals and other activities so is the
parents even they do not ask their children for school. The best examples
and great sons can be seen at Barber Shop, corner 'nukkad' and at
each Mohalla. Even some of the peoples are running some societies only to
collect donations and funds for their own use not for the community. How
bad reaction they gave to our society as well as other castes. People to move forward and start to respect yourselves
first, then outsiders in return would respect our community.
This
is why these peoples are lacking every thing. Because they do not desire,
deserve, or even like to compete with other castes. They are satisfied
with nothing. Many a times I gather some boys of my mohalla to educate
them but the very second day they refuse to join the class with some lame
excuses. These are a lot many societies, which are running free education,
but the peoples are not willing for it.
The
Poona Pact was followed by a Conference of Caste Hindus in Bombay on 25
September 1932 which passed a resolution which says:
"This
Conference resolves that henceforth, amongst Hindus, no one shall be
regarded as an untouchable by reason of his birth and those who have been
so regarded hitherto shall have the same rights as the other Hindus in
regard to the use of public wells, public roads and other public
institutions. This right shall have statutory recognition at the first
opportunity and shall be one of the earliest acts of the Swaraj
Parliament, if it shall not have received such recognition before that
time."
So
we have to follow the following objectives to be done to change our life
style and to rise our community :-
-
Supply of suitable
literature, holding of exhibitions, house-to-house-visits for survey
and collection of statistics etc. Apart propaganda, it was decided to
carry on constructive work for the social, hygienic, educational and
economic uplift of the community
- During Police enquiry and other verifications,
the police should gave in written to Valmiki Pradhan regarding
verification order or summon
- Valmiki 'Pradhan' or 'sarpanch'
should be appointed in every village and in every Basti or Mohalla and
he/ she should be given all the rights by the Government
- Help & assistance should be given to the
weaker sections of our society by these committees
- Members from the SC-BC community should be
elected by our peoples after every three year and there should not
have any political interference
- During any rampage or riots or during any caste
issue every body should gather at a single meeting place and proper
decision should be a taken by elected member. Do not go wild on the
rampage and start taking your own decision. Let the elected member
take the decision and every one has to admit it without any question
in their mind
- No compulsion or force shall
be used with regard to the above programme, but peaceful persuasion
will be adopted as the only means
-
Education
for boys, girls and adults
-
Vocational
training
-
Welfare
work to wean the Community away from bad and filthy habits
-
Inducing
Municipalities and local bodies to provide Community with cheap
houses in clean localities with minimum amenities
-
Public
wells, taps and other water sources being made available to Community
-
Inviting
donations for the cause of Community
-
Promote the feel of
fundamental principles, best instinct of humanity, to promote their
moral, social and material welfare
-
To secure for them
absolute equality of status with the rest of the Hindus
-
All the donation and funds should be collected
together and a committee should be made who keep all the records of
expenditures & collections
